Zubut, the last-mile logistics startup, received investment from the venture capital fund Redwood Ventures, in a round that also involved several angel investors.

Co-founded by Jorge Arámbula and Pablo Navarro, Zubut facilitates to corporates and businesses the management of their shipments through a network of independent collaborators, in addition to providing statistics for the generation of market intelligence strategies.

"It is estimated that the market value of last-mile delivery is around 2 billion dollars. Added to this, the penetration of e-commerce in LATAM has generated that this sub-sector grows at levels above 15% annually. We are convinced that Zubut offers a highly scalable technology solution and that the entrepreneurial team has all the elements to take advantage of the potential that this opportunity represents," said Alejandro Gonzalez, Fund Manager of Redwood Ventures.

The resources from this round will allow the company to strengthen its technology base for the optimization of delivery routes and business intelligence for its clients, leveraging the use of their data through proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms. It also plans to strengthen its presence in the geographies where it is currently available and start operating in five new cities this year.
